I remember that pressing google + ctrl + enter used to lead me to google.com but this morning I did and forces me to google.com.mycountry

Same thing if I type it in address bar.
How do I change that?

For the toolbar go to "options" -> "Use Google site:"

For the address bar, you can do a search in .com.[country] then add &gl=us to the URL to get .com results and adverts. Not ideal - i'm sure someone else has a better solution.

Should be a link from Google saying "Go to google.com". Click on that and it takes you there.

sitename + CTRL + ENTER just prefixes www and appends .com to sitename (IE shortcut)
