I'm confused why they wouldn't put enterprise-level security in the consumer version as well. Consumer's have just as much valuable information stored on their harddrives, like credit cards etc., to warrant such security measures.

And is there a purpose, other than for marketing, to just improve the consumer version with the same features, instead of creating a whole different software package?

But Google is wasting no time in taking on Microsoft at the desktop level and yesterday unveiled search technology that targets an estimated 100 million Lotus Notes seats that it has developed with IBM.
