got an idea but would like to hear from you guys to see if it's worth work on it.

I copied a content rich website using a software. the website is PR4 and what I wanna do is copy it, have an exactly site but under my control, put some adsense ads on it, get indexed by google and then be above the original site on google search terms!

The original site is 8 years old while mine is only 20 days old.

My idea is this: Since I saw the original page has 20 links linking to it (I typed in the site url on google then clicked on Find web pages that contain the term...) I think it would be possible to rank higher than the orig. site on google if I have more than 20 pages linking to my site (40 links or more).

Of course, a couple of optimization and working on all other factors.
Do you guys think it's possible?
Can I really rank higher than the original site which has been there for a couple of years?

or do I need to have higher PR too?

any thoughts on this idea will be greatly helpful.
thanks a lot!
MrDegas.

Yes, it's possible. Your PR doesn't even need to be as high as theirs.

In case you're trying to be funny:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Whoo! That was a good one!

In case you're serious:

The Google duplicate filter will rank you below the original page. Once the owners of the first site find your page, a DMCA complaint to Google and other search engines will have your page removed from the SERPs. Since it's also against the Terms & Conditions of AdSense, you could be permanently banned from Adsense.

I said the content is free to copy. they can't complaint.

also I won't have the exatcly page, ill make my own design and template. even the pages urls will be diferent.

I've seen that, one only article is in several diferent websites out there. I type on g.:
"a piece of article phrase here bla bla bla" and there are tons of sites that have the same text.

the content i wanna copy is games tips, so there are several pages with the same tip on google. what I only need is rank higher than these pages.

my question is if I can rank higher in a shorter time. rank higher than a site which has been there for several years...

just like to know if its possible.
