New version of the google deskbar has been released:
[toolbar.google.com...]

  • Added support for 5 button mouse
  • The Esc key now closes the viewer
  • Support for UTF-8 and traditional encoding
  • Mouse-free searching by clicking the right arrow key in the search box
  • Added sticky search option to remember last search type
  • Got rid of the sysbeep on some machines when the shortcuts are used from the Deskbar
  • Windows key + G to run auto-search
  • Right-clicking links in the mini-viewer allows new windows to be opened
  • Misc. bug fixes and improvements

>Still won't let me download it though

I saw your post this morning and i downloaded from [toolbar.google.com...] again and it had updated mine. Windows Key+G is pretty cool.

Is there anyway to have the deskbar *not* display the faded google logo while it's not in active use?

Thanks for the link perfecttommy. All the /deskbar/ pages started working for me a little while ago.

Google Deskbar rocks. Once you get into the habbit of using it, dare I say, it's even better than the Toolbar.
