Anyone Else's Pop Blocker Not Doing The Job?

It was blocking for a while, but has stopped

Yes, I have checked the GTB options box to make sure the toolbar blocks popups but it has blocked about two of an innumerable number in the last several days.

Spybot, CWShredder and AVG seem equally impotent to stop appearances that do not always relate to browsing.

I have XP Pro IE and cable. Any ideas? Thanks, S

Can you define this a little better?

A browser pop-up blocker is most likely only going to work in your browser... Now, if the popups are being initiated by some kind of program call(ie: explicit call to iexplore.exe) then that's something else.

THanks. Actually most of the popups are not browsing related and almost simultaneously with my posting this I got tipped off to the free no ads software and it seems to be just what the MD ordered. Best, S
