"Fix PageRank through proxies"

I've just downloaded the toolbar onto a new PC and whilst customising the options I noticed one saying:

"Fix PageRank through proxies (experimental)"

Does anyone know what this means/does?

Simply that the toolbar often doesn't work when connecting through a proxy server. I haven't tried/don't know what this 'fix' does, I just know that back in the day I had to tweak my local proxy in order to get PR showing, so clearly it's still an issue.

I tried through a cisco proxy server recently. No workie, even with the option set.
