Hi,

Just wondering...

My Google Toolbar version, according to the About box, is:

Version: 2.0.102-big/en (GGLD)

I believe that, before the latest upgrade, this said ‘GGLB’, but I'm not 100% sure.

Anyone know what ‘GGLD’ stands for?

Thanks,

– Michael

Maybe the GGL part stands for GooGLe and the last letter refers to the version?

Ok, Now I know exactly what GGLD means.

My guess was right:
Look at mine:

Maybe its GGL for Google and D for Version D or somethin

And look at werty's:

Mine says GGLB

And Yes, I'm sure I've seen a GGLC at my Uni.

So its GGL for Google and the letters at the side of GGL mean the version , those who have a letter lowert than D, try upgrading your toolbar, try re-installing your toolbar.

So, is it safe to assume that Google have seen sense and scrapped the auto-update feature? Or are minor upgrades not updated automatically?

I uninstalled the toolbar because of the security implications of the auto-update feature.
