Hi Everybody,

I have two sites that have no PR on my toolbar. One used to have a PR4 but, lost it some months ago. I am still getting the same amount of hits from G on it(it's also listed in the DMOZ). My other site has never been submitted to any engines. I had a buddy put a link to it on his site (which is still there) before any real content was added. It is being hit by bots daily. I am now showing up #1 with two of my search terms and page one with a more competitive combination. Yet, I have no PR and, my buddy's site does not show up in a G backlink search.

Should I be concerned with the no PR and no backlinks? My competition field is not huge, is it possible that G has no ranking for it? Thanks

Sounds to me like a freshbot listing.

Nice that it put you straight it at #1 though!

Don't be too disturbed if you drop out of the SERPS again for a bit. This is all quite normal.

Work on getting some more backlinks and putting more content on your site and forget about Google for a bit. It'll be a month or two until you see stable listings for your site.

THanks, TJ

THe one site that had a PR4 has been PR0 since about April. As it has not affected my hits, I haven't really been sweating it. But, I do wonder where I lost my ranking. I'm kicking my mule everyday trying to get that new content up ;)

some of my sites turn to PR0. (not banned).

But the traffic does not change.

How do you check to see if your site is banned or penalized by Goggle?

Lo and behold! The Google Gods must be paying attention. My site that has been PR0 just got its PR4 back after 5 months.

Now, my new site that had been a white PR bar is now a gray bar. What is the difference between a white PR bar and a gray PR bar?

All White = PR 0
All Grey = Penalized, OR, the page is not ranked, or the toolbar is not working. Most likely: Page is not ranked
WFN :)
