My index page shows two different rankings depending on how your acces it.

If you acces through the Serps www.bluewidgets.com comes up with a PR of 0

If you access through a internal linke www.bluewidgets.com/index.htm comes up with a PR of 4

Does this make a difference? Is my PR 0 or 4 from Google SE perspective?

Thanks

www. and non www. domain names are viewed as separate sites although they will have the exact same content. Most likely its PR0 because of duplicate content / duplicate site so dont worry Google will just index the pages with the highest PR and dump the rest or penalise them.

Dont worry yourself though its normal. If you do a chaeck on just about any site its the same.

hi.
The PageRank is not SiteRank, the value of GG tool bar shows is page rank.
Some webmasters would like to link to my site with :
[mydomain.com...]

others like to link in the following was:
[mydoamin.com...]

So your site has different PR
[mydomain.com...] PR=1
[mydoamin.com...] PR=4

The pagerank is calculated from other pages link to this page.

In your situation, I am sure most webpages link to

[mydomain.com...] and NOT [mydoamin.com...] so the PageRank of index.htm is higher than [mydoamin.com...]
