Color Blind

I recently purchased a domain name and had a look at the PR of the domain (the previous site had only one page on it and had nothing spammy on it, current page has nothing on it as I intend to develop a new site) and can't whether it has a grey bar or a white bar.

May be a stupid question, but, are we able to change the color of the pagerank bar?

I do not know of any way to change the toolbar settings but I think this is something google might want to have a look at. Toolbar accesability.

Personally, I don't think you can change the color of the PR toolbar, but I'm not Google
