My PageRank bar on the toolbar is not working at all. It is constantly greyed out and never reports any page ranks what so ever. I even uninstalled and reinstalled, and yes with advanced features. Nothing. Is anyone else having an issue with this? Please help.

Well i found the answer and it has to do with proxies, but I really don't understand because it was working a few days ago and everyday before that.

I have Pagerank turned on most of the time but i turn it off from time to time just because i do not want to feel like i am being watched.

I have had many scares about my site going from PRgood to PRgrey. I have a number of places i am using NAT proxies. Alhough the responce time is great (because of the high speed connections being shared) from time to time i get greyed; Its not a proxy problem, I've had it happen on a single computer on a cable connection which clocks in at 2wire.com as over 1xxx Kbps. But offen you need to wait a entire secound to connect to a computer on the (world wide wait) seems the toolbar can not wait (it now or its grey).

PS. I guess I did the John Nash thing on my other post. I forgot to explain. sorry for any confusion.

Another issue with Google toolbar recently: Googlebar crashes and is gone. Then, certain java-applets will not perform. Regular installation of Googlebar will not revive the bar. The .exe installation of the bar will restore the bar......but not java-based site functionality (such as java applet games). Speculation is that the Microsoft VM is damaged.

To resolve this issue (resolved it for me), download and install the latest version of the Microsoft VM. The latest version of the Microsoft VM is available for download from the following Microsoft Web site:

I figured out my issue. It had nothing to do with the proxies at all. I initially had it working fine then one day it just quit out on me for no reason. Well, the issue has been resolved and for your future reference, if this ever occurs on your machine, check to make sure that in IE:

> Tools > Internet Options... > Advanced Tab > Microsoft VM > Java Console is turned on.

I have no idea how it got turned off, but somehow it did.

Thanks for your help guys,
