Improving PageRank

Problems with improving Google PageRank specialy for non English sites

Hi,

We own over 35 sites since 1998, all of them in Spanish.
Most of them have PageRank 5, but over 5-6 have PageRank6.

I have understand that to improve my 6 pagerank the best way is to have been linked from a 8 PAgeRank or 9 PageRank site.

This is extremely dificult in Spanish. I see oftem sites with a PAgeRank 7 and above in English, but I have seen only 5-6 sites in my language with PR 7 and above, and all this sites are MAjor Newspapers Sites, Search Engines or ISP (Terra.es, yahoo.es, elpais.es) where it is almost imposible to get a linka t their homepages.

Any ideas to improving it?
Can my sites get PR 6 only being linked from lot of sites with PR6 and PR5?

HI, the question is: Do you really need a higher Pagerank?

You will generally find that getting enough well motivated links from low(er) Pageranked pages will get you all the good rankings you need.

By the way, your spanish competition is facing the same Pagerank "problem".

Yes you can theoretically get any Pagerank from enough lower Pagerank links.

Yes... this is the question. And the best one...

I really donīt know, but I guess if I have a PR6 like my competition and I improve to PR7 this should be a big step, isnīt it?

Also my main site is a Virtual Comunity like Geocities, but in Spanish (of course a lot smaller :-) ) I supposed that if I increase my homepage PR it can increase lot of my members sites under www.mysite.com/membername/ This could be a really great job!
