I have a question for Google Gurus.

Since 1999 I normaly use some promotions tools, like Submit Wolf, AddWeb and Itraffic Pro. (spanish version)

Those programs submit to Spanish Search Engines, but also they do to non-spanish FFA sites and similar. I have heard that Google may penalizes me if find links in FFA sites. Itīs that true?

If so, will be a good way use this software but only for Search Engine promotion (not FFA)?

Also anyone knows if there is any article with an explanation of what and how Google penalizes?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld condemons,

Google would only punish if you participate in artificial link-farm programs.

To participate you need to link to these farms from your site.

So just do not participate by linking to any of these link-farm projects.

The basic assumption is that Google would not penalise for anything a competitor could do to you.
