I do most of my work in a Unix/Linux enviroment. Is it possible to query PR without MS Windows?

Hi requiem,
A site search will reveal that this has been discussed too many times.
Google will only endorse checking PR via that toolbar and rightly so. Any other method is unethical and Google will likly try to stop it. There is no method of checking PR other than the Google toolbar.

You can go to the directory listings if you are there and get an approximation.

No need to be sorry. It was a legitimate question. Such a tool does exist.
Moderators, will I be allowed to post the URL? - for experimental purposes?

Sorry, no Google Tools, you will have to use Sticky Mail.

I once used a site that would tell you PR for any URL you entered (the same value you'd see in the toolbar). I don't (really don't) remember the URL, but this may give you a starting point, I guess.

Why is using any other method unethical? Against the Google Terms and Conditions of using Google, but why unethical?

i would love to be stickied with info regarding a non-windows based toolbar. i'm on mac/linux most of the day...and HATE switching my monitor back and forth, so i can check toolbar on my pc server.
funny. linux workstations, pc servers. and you probably thought that i had half of a brain.
