What happens when an existing site attracts a PR of zero? Is it displayed as 0/10 or is there a message that says Google has not ranked the site.
A prominent site in my pet area (not mine)has dropped out of the rankings. When the site is opened it shows a solid grey bar and the PR message to the effect that "Google has not ranked this site" (or similar words)
Is that typical of what happens when a site has been hit with a penalty?
The root index is on it's third reappearance in google
serps (from freshbot visits I suppose as a link:www.domain.org doesn't turn up the site
Still, not much of a penalty if the root index pops up #2
based on freshie visit, which is what it did with prior freshie visit as well.
I'm just hanging loose and happy that where root index used to land in serps, another strong page now appears, and the other SE's still have the site rocking along in nice form.
Sorry that's not a solid answer. I'm simply not as smart as some of the folks here, so the example is about the best I can offer.
Luck to you.
