I saw a few sites offering a small javascript code to paste in every html and show in the htmls the current PR. Is like a small icon utility.

A small javascript code call a server that checks pagerank and serve a PR gif with a number to the page (PR1, PR2 etc)

Looks like a great idea and a funny service to offer our clients and users, but, do you think it agrees with Google TOS?

The site offering this service to webmasters is doing it for several months and has PR6 so I see Google has not penalize it, but do you think ofering this service can be a problem with Google´s TOS?

The purpose is very easy.

I give you a javascript code and offer you a service. I show in your website the icon with your PR just for fun and like a "counter" just for showing this info to your visitors without Google´s Toolbar.

This small icon links back to your site (to the offering PR service) so every link can became in a new code (new users to paste in their htmls) but also increase site PR .

The site I´m talking about (in spanish) has only this service and over 4,000 backlinks from those icons. It has PR6.
