I have a google account, but I don't know how to obtain the license or the key? How do I get this. Thanks.

Judging by which forum this is posted in, I'd guess the question is about an API license key.

You should have recieved it via email when you created your Google account. If you no longer have it, see this entry from the API FAQ:
