While I'm not going to be giving away prizes, I'd still like to create a portal where members of a pre-existing community can use a simple page or two that looks like my site (including search results) but is powered by google.
You'll notice that when you search in Blingo that even the results are neatly captured within the 'Blingo template'. You still feel like you're using Blingo to a greater degree, not Google by itself. How would someone go about creating such an application?
I have an adsense account that has basic search insertion into existing sites, but there aren't many options for post-search formatting. If anyone clicks on the ads that would be a bonus to include my adsense account, but this would be of secondary importance to getting the 'look' down pat.
Where would be the first place to start making such a tool? Anyone here have previous experience in such an endeavour? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

[edit reason] no urls, pelase -thx! [/edit]
Anyone else have an idea how the sites are developed?
Just seach for 'XML feed' related resources to find easy ways to manipulate the data.
I would not use AdSense with the free Google search feed as it's bound to be an infringement of one of the T&C's.
