Google Desktop Search

Annoying News Panel

Hi

I've recently installed the Google Desktop Search (which is REALLY great - saves so much time) and received the Google News "ticker" display as well.

I find it really annoying and would like to switch it off but cannot find any way to.

Can anyone let me know how to dump this "feature"?
