geocities domain

very high PR, but not in google SERPS

Hi

I've just been asked to exchange links with a site hosted on geocites. The site has a high PR (PR7) but I can't find any trace of the site in Google - even for the full URL.

I'm keen to link to the site, and I'm curious as to how thet PR was achieved.
Or is it just some kind of error?

It's a guessed pr. It's the pr of geocities -1 pr for every sub directory deeper.

Your true Pr will show once your site is in the Google index.

It's not just guessed PR, it is poorly guessed PR. If you aren't showing you probably have o pagerank. Geocities starts off at zero just like any other page, even if it looks cool to have that fake PR7 there.

When I created a new account a Geocities, I had PR7 straight away. Even my page is still showing that I aven't started my site yet. This MUST be an estimated PR. How else can you get this PR without even building a site?
Go to google.
Search for your URL.
Go to your site (if you were listed)
What you then see is your PR.
