Problems installing Google toolbar

I have done it before without any problems

I have previously installed the Google toolbar without any problems on a couple of machines (98SE & ME Japanese).

Now I am attempting to install it on a Win XP Pro machine, logged in as the administrator, IE6 and allowing active X and even low security. Every time I try it just fails.

Any ideas?

(A small point of interest with the Google toolbar, in the Japanese version it does not tell you what the PR is, it only shows the bar graph.)

hmm. I'd send G email about it. That is the first time I've heard of a failure. (ie 6 right?)

Also, thanks for the tidbit on the PR not showing in your version.

You are not going to believe this, but this morning I thought I will try again (as I had successfully installed on yet another computer - this time XP PRO and IE6) and it worked.

I did not change anything. Hmmmmmm
