First, I don't recall that it has ever auto-updated. I know for a fact that I had to manually update to the most recent version, even after waiting several weeks for auto-update to kick in. No big problem, but maybe it ties in with:
Second, I cannot get the Google Compute option to display. I uninstalled my toolbar, rebooted, removed all associated leftover files, manually deleted all associated registry entries, rebooted, and then downloaded and re-installed it, and still no Google Compute option...
I'm running WinME on this machine, and it lives behind two layers of firewall, one here and one at my ISP. I have no firewall-related connectivity problems - The PR meter display works fine, and I can view any kind of site content, including streaming media with no problems. I don't think the firewalls are a problem, but I thought I'd mention them.
I have been running the SETI@HOME distributed computing application for over a year, also with no problem, and thought I might like to try Google Compute for awhile.
I'm stumped as to why I don't get auto-updated and don't ever see the Google Compute option. I can see it in the html source code using view-page-source, but apparently, the <style id=xx> tag is suppressing display of the options and their radio buttons.
Does anyone have any ideas on other factors which might influence the symptoms noted above. Maybe if we can find something in common, we can explain this strangeness and help to get it corrected.

Thanks for the reply. I wonder what they mean by that?
Also, I wonder why the auto-update doesn't work for some of us - very strange.
These are the only two problems I have with the toolbar; everything else works fine.
Hopefully, Google will post some technical FAQs on the toolbar page. An explanation of the "Google Compute not being open to everyone" would be a good idea, IMHO.
