Google Popups?!

Has Google really gone and stooped to that?

Maybe it is just some stay program running amok on my computer, but it seems to me that Google is spamming us with popups now!! Can anyone confirm that?

I can confirm that Google has not and never will do pop-ups, at least as long as I work here. You have a scumware program on your computer.

The only pop-up Google has ever done is when you download the toolbar. We do a pop-up with that big red "please read this--it's not the usual yada yada." We do that so that every toolbar user will understand the advanced toolbar features.

But Google doesn't do any pop-ups for web searches.

Thanks, and sorry for the false alarm. I confirmed with a few other people I know before posting...but I guess we've all been scumware-ized.

I am so annoyed - I installed iMESH and I'm sure it's installed some sort of scumware when I do google searches

(for instance, if I search for online casinos)

I have uninstalled it and used the Ad-ware program to remove any known "scumware" but the pop-up is STILL coming up.

Argggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm, do I sense a re-format coming on?

Thats the best Ad-ware option (except prevention :))

I got that recently as well. It's definitely not Google, but some program which has been installed on to your PC.
