Hi,
I just did a search to try to find out if google has a per page limit on keywords and had no luck. I have read more then once that using a keyword more then 12-13 times on one page will hurt you with google. Does anyone have good advice as to how many will definately hurt, or is it all based on density.
Thanks

My educated guess is it's based more on density, but the only way to know when you've crossed the threshold for sure is when your site suffers.

No idea. I have heard that 5% density of keywords is best, and that 20% is best, or never use more than 10 per page etc.

Unfortunately this means nothing to me when I actually pull the results from the net while searching google and look at the sites that are number 1.

Without the keyword you have no hope, with some keyword phrases you can get to number one by repitition continually, some you can get there by using the keyword once. All depends on the amount of competition I think and who wants it more.

Make the page make sense and it wil work, 3-5 times on a decent size page of 400 words.

But importantly make the page make sense.

Keyword advice

1 - Mention main keyword within first 5 words
2 - Don't use it more than once per 50 words
3 - Better to use it once about every 75 words
4 - Words before & after the keyword are important
5 - Use keywords within phrases for best results
6 - Use main keyword very near the end of page
7 - Use exact keyword phrase in text link
8 - Use keyword in page title & description
9 - Use keyword in page headline <h1> preferably
10 - Use keyword phrases in sub headlines <h2 or h3>
11 - Where it makes sense, bold or italicize keyword
12 - Get links from another site where the link name is your keyword phrase.
