How can get good traffic on website

I have 2 years old website,but there is not good traffic, I use Dynamic submission for search engine, and many link exchange on my site. Daily unique visitors are 80-90. I want more traffic, if any one suggest me, step by step

Maybe bad link exchange is the reason.

How old is this site?

Good trafic follows with GOOD content. Ask yourself, would you want to visit your site more than any other on a similar subject. If not then thats your reason.

REAL interesting content written by someone passionate and knowlegable on that subject gets traffic, and hundreds of natural links.

Personally I get about 7000 uniques daily and 4k dollars monthly and never ever chase links or exchange links, or bother submitting to search engines. That follows naturally if your content has real value.

Think about books. Some are good and become best sellers. Some are average. Some never sell more than 50 copies. The internet is just the same.

Maybe your site is not in this situation (most are) and you are doing something silly like using frames and have bad seo (content, titles, link structure etc), or there is another reason that stops say the googlebot crawling your pages? Sticky me the URL?

Like Nitrous said, it all depends on your content and maybe your SEO techniques. I know sites that have been around for 5+ years and still don't bring in a lot of traffic.

Start with generating quality content. After that, try some basic SEO tactics... (you should be able to find tons of stuff about basic SEO on the web)...

Content is what a site is actually made for, but at the same time there may be such a situation when a site's got very good content, but the site's traffic is still very low (for example when the site is just new). That's what promotion techniques are all about - to let people know that there's a such a wonderful site. Then, of course, viral techniques will have to work for such a site and on principle it won't need any SEO.

If appropriate, try adding some pictures to your site. These will get picked up the image search engines, and in turn by people looking for pictures, who will then discover your site.
