One Way Outbound to Authority good?

If I have a mini site related to say widgitcity Information would it benefit my site to create a one way outbound link to widgiticity's official web site? Or apply that to anything, if i'm reviewing something is it good SEO to create a single outbound link to the official widgit site?

Yes, this is usually a good idea. It helps establish your site as related to that subject and shows the site to be participating properly in the web.

Thanks guys, i'll take your advice, it seemed as if it might tell Google the relevance of your page/site but I wasn't sure.
