I would say around 2 months.

Charge around $500 (£250)

All you need to do is get around 25 - 50 Inbound links with his name, Some just his first some his last.

Then wait.

I would also say it may take longer.

Are those current results for his name all _his name_ or somebody else who happens to have the same moniker?

What kind of PR is there on the top SERPs for his name? Are the current SERPs talking about this person at length, or is the name mentioned once or twice incidentally?

A lot of factors will determine how difficult it is to get up to the top... I'd never guarantee anything when it comes to SEO, but if you really hammer it you should be able to get some results.

No its not all about him , but the top are about him

pr = 3

They are talking about the guy him self

Like i said it will be easy and it could be done in two months after a few inbound links with his name to his site...

Not if the guy is Tony Blair or George Bush! ;)

OK, they are extreme examples, but there are many well know names with a few hundred k results - not all will be easy to achieve for (not as easy as say, you or me getting number 1 for your own name).

Certainly a couple of months is a good benchmark to work from, but I would add to that figure depending on how well known the person is and how many other sites talk about him on length.

I may be crazy, but I know if I am doing a search for info on someone with a name like James Brown and i am NOT looking for James Brown the singer, I am putting in different words in my search, because I know that I would have ten million things come up about the singer. So if I am looking for info on a James Brown, or a ____ James Brown who is a golfer, i'm making sure golf or golfer or golfing is in there. That being said, I would venture to say I'd make more of an effort trying to come up higher in rankings that are a little more explicit then just my name. Anwyway those are my 2 cents for what they are worth.
