Can someone tell if the following will have a negative impact on rankings...

We have two sites on diff servers, one is a co.uk and a .com.

The co.uk site is performing well in SERPS, if we set up a 301 redirect so that the high ranking site (the co.uk) points to the .com (a complete mirror of the .co.uk site) will we lose our rankings? We want to use the .com as our main online brand which is why we want this url displayed in the serps.

Thanks

That's the best way to loose the ranking and to get a penalty for both the domains!
