Tiscali launches Web site traffic maximisation tool

So basically they have made a tool that is illegal according to search engines and made a public announcement about it. Could they not be opening themselves up to scrutinization from google and the other major players? Is this really such a smart move by such a company

I wonder what Overture/Yahoo think of it as they serve up the results for Tiscali.

I was unaware that tiscali was using yahoo results. That just makes it that more interesting to see how this develops. I think this is going to be a real test of G and Y's resolve

This service is being offered by Tiscali South Africa to owners of websites hosted on their servers. Definitely against the search engine guidelines.

Tiscali S.p.A. have disposed (or are about to dispose) of their South Africa subsidiary for Euro 40m to MWeb. I think that they also want to dispose of their South African cellphone interests as well (possibly to Vodacom).
