Hello there,

Books might not be the best support for learning SEO but I hope it could give me basis and take me away from my screen a little 8)

So if you know of a good recent book on SEO that would be much much appreciated.

Have a nice day wherever you are :)

Have a good look around all the forums here - better than any book.
Everything you could hope to know is here somewhere, it's a fabulous resource

I agree. You'll find more useful info in here than in any book. Start here: [webmasterworld.com...]

I downloaded one of those online SEO books looking for tricks I didn't know (before I started at WW) and found that it was very out of date and not very informative.

I concur that this is the absolute best place on the web to get SEO info.

Learned all (the little) I know here!
Get a portable and a wireless hookup.
Much better investment!

What they said!

If anfter reading a spell, you feel bound to make a purchase to increase your knowledge, there's always the supporter's area.

I have SEO for Dummies, and this forum talks about everything in there and more. Spend your money on caffeine to stay up until 4am reading this stuff.

Great thanks to all of you ;)

I must say I was afraid to hear something like this :) no rest for the wicked "eyes" but this is good news anyway, at least I know now ...

Is the Paying area more concise and to the point? would it help me get started quicker?

Enjoy!

When I enter into a new area of SE's, I come to this forum and plan on two days of reading everything about that topic.

That should give you enough info to start making some decions and asking questions.

Yes, you should be a site supporter or whatever it's called. There are some occassional gems in there that you just won't see. (one of my fave's is a beginners guide to one way inbound linking by chrisnrae - got me off to a good start developing quality links).
