For my site, of course you have an index page. Would their be any possible weight gain to make a directory called "blue widgets" and then put files in that directory or should I just leave the site files in the same directoy as the index file. Not sure if I'm clear on what I'm trying to ask...how about this:

1)index/bluewidget(or is blue-widget better?)/blue-widget.php

or

2) blue-widget.php sitting in the same directory as the index page?

Thank you for your input.

Shouldn't matter much, if at all. The most important thing is how many clicks it takes to get to there from the front page.

However, adding a directory may give you a tiny boost if you name the directory as one of the keywords you are trying to feature.
