I know this is probably a question that's been beaten in to the ground long ago, but I can't remember the answer. Are search engines indexing text in tables at this point? Some of them used to ignore it.

Yes they are. Just try not to get so complex. Deeply nested tables still present a problem for some se's or they don't rank well. Best to keep them under three nest tables deep.
