Hi I wonder if anyone can help - when promoting a website using with a .biz suffix does this get ranked lower than .co.uk or .com. I have noticed that it is proving difficult to get top place rankings even though the website is effectively exactly the same structure as a parent site however with slightly (and I stress only slightly) different copy. All the tactics I normally use to get good rankings are not working at all and the site has been up for about 6 months. Usually I get good results within a week especially if paying for submissions to msn and the like so I wondered if it was the suffix?

cheers

Nope. It has no bearing on rankings.

It usually takes a good year for good placement. Some get lucky. Try to build up your links.
