do the international googles all use the same database?

Do the international googles like

- google.com
- google.de
- google.co.kr

all use the same database?

Is it sufficient to submit only to google.com or should I also submit to other googles if they are important for my site?

What about other international SEs like lycos etc.?

They may, however, return different results due to algorithms favouring "local" content.
