Hi buybeats... welcome to webmasterworld

Unfortunately for you, all this big talk IS how to get your site high in the search engines. The good part is that for the most part it's in pretty plain language. If there is any terminology you don't recognise check out the glossary link at the top of the page.

There is no magic wand to be waved.... but if you settle in and read the information in the forums here, you'll end up with an awesome recipe to follow.

First, Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

Second, if you really want to get your sites 'high up in the search engines', you need to make one decision:

Learn to do it yourself? If so, you found the right place. Check out the site search (top of screen) and read, read, read. Everything you need to know to market a site -> is right here.

If, on the other hand, you decide you'd like *professional* help, check out the WebmasterWorld commercial exchange [webmasterworld.com] where you can post a request for services. It's a free service from WebmasterWorld, and odds are, there will be people filling your inbox with questions, I'm sure.

Many of the best SEO professionals in the world read here, and even sometimes answer questions about, getting sites high up in search engine rankings.

Cheers. :)

why did they move my post

Because it isn't about about Google specifically, but about search engines in general.

If you're looking for information about Google, go back to the Google forum and follow the link at the top to the "Google Knowledge Base." Study the material there.

For information about other specific search engines, look in the corresponding forum.
