After reading many posts about doorway pages, I'm still no sure, if the following is ok:

I have a site using frames, Javascript and Flash.

Now I create a simple single page (design matches) which focusses on my main keyword and link this page to the index.html, but there is no link back.

Is it ok to sumbit this page or will this be penalized by major search engines?

Thank you for your help!

Generally, "orphaned" pages without a link back to them aren't what search engines are looking for. And Google, as one example, won't even list it because their spider won't be able to find it via a link.

If you're talking about "a single page" it's not likely you'd be penalized... but it's not likely that the page would be well-ranked anyway.

But is there any reason why the page you're creating can't just be integrated into the site?

Thanks for your answer, Jay.

I would submit this page to the SE, so it would be picked up.

I thought of creating a very simple page without frames and then link it to the index.html, because if the page is within the frames structure, it would not be picked up by the search engines, or would it?
