When I interviewed Paul G of Teoma [webmasterworld.com] he confirmed that DH would continue to be used. Most of us have seen a drop off in DH generated referrals, but they are still there. The biggest is from MSN, but an occasional HotBot and Teoma view from a DH influence still comes through.
Also, Don't forget the new Ask Jevees/Teoma deal with Google.
From the chart
8 AskJeeves has completed a deal with Google to install Google AdWords on AskJeeves and Teoma as sponsored links.
Removed: Go.com, Excite, and WebCrawler are now basic search affiliate sites of several search services (mainly Overture).

We actually did that some months ago, based on aggregating logs on every client - we made the columns on our Excel spreadsheet relate to the % marketshare and even colour coded the whole thing. It took AGES. Then Yahoo started using Espotting... in UK.. Then Excite went down... Then the BBC started to use search. Now our table is totally out of date!

Yep - they have a deal at the moment - Looksmart are mixing Espotting results in with their directory ones. Wonder how long that will last now Looksmart has bidsmart.looksmart.co.uk?
Dixon.
It is getting so hard to explain this stuff to those unfamilier with search engines. And at times, I get confused anymore.
Now the real work begins, having to update it every other month! ;)
