Dynamic and static pages

should static pages be created if dynamic pages are indexed?

We have a site that's made in cold fusion and have many pages indexed in the se's. My queston is should I still create static pages (especially of specific content) to help with rankings even though the .cfm pages are already indexed?

I wasn't sure if I can still get great rankings out of .cfm pages as I would plain html pages. Would it be more beneficial to re-optimze the dynamic pages than it would be to create new static pages?

If the CFM pages are being indexed by the search engines, it is best to work with them.

Is the CFM site template driven? Regardless, optimize the site thoroughly and evaluate your results in a month or two. If you are not having the success that you hoped, go an alternate route.

Yes it is template driven. Would that have an effect?
