I mostly have questions about Google. And since the forum on Google is really slow and the answers aren't that great, I'm glad I've found this page.

So my questions about Google and their complicated PR-system:
-Why do different pages on the same domain have different page rankings? My main page(index page)has PR5 and my other pages PR0.
-How can I improve my PR on the individual pages? These pages contain the actual information and are more important.
-Does the PR of the individual pages affect my index-page?

Why do different pages on the same domain have different page rankings? My main page(index page)has PR5 and my other pages PR0.
Because PR is calculated for every page and not for an entire website. People will most likely link to your homepage, instead of deeplinking, and so your homepage will have better Pagerank.

-How can I improve my PR on the individual pages? These pages contain the actual information and are more important.
Make sure that you have a good menu structure, so that every important page on your website gets a link from the other pages. PR also makes use of links within your own website. And if you want your other pages to have a bigger PR, ask for deeplinks instead of homepage links. I would not recommend this though and just stick with homepage links.

- Does the PR of my individual page affect my index-page?
Yes it does, because you are linking from that individual page to your homepage. That way, a bit of PR wiil come to your index-page.
