Is this considered spamming

Current pages display 10 items per page, all in one keyword directory.

Would it be spam to create another keyword directory alongside the current one, include kw sub-directories; each with pages displaying the same items but 6 per page?

Also a third directory, maybe with sub-directories and lots of pages displaying 1 item per page?

All with slightly different dir/pagenames, title tags and meta tags.

Would it be risky repeating the same item description 3 times on differently weighted pages in a slighly different directory structure.

Thanks in advance.

There are many that try that very thing and have no problems for years. I don't know if I would risk it today though.

risky? yes. The most I would do is have a page with a list of items and then a 'Details' link for each one that includes more info.

What you're proposing is highly suspect (it's something I would try and I get domains banned all the time :)) It might benefit you short term but certainly long term it's not a bullet proof plan.

I'm glad to hear that, brain was about to explode with keywords, dir structures and dbase fields and its mod_rewrite next.

Thanks again webmasterworld, for the advice and starting the headaches in the first place!
