500 Errors

What do the codes mean

I see these error codes from time to time in my logs, there isn't much else to go on to try and fix it. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction

500 error codes are very bad to have.

If you've been playing with your .htaccess file you may have done it yourself.

500 Errors can often be a VBScript error. To find out exactly what the problem is, turn off friendly http error messages.
