Index.html to default.aspx

hello
now i'm using FrontPage 2003, my home current extention is INDEX.HTM I want to change it to .ASPX so what am trying to do as a test is deleting the INDEX.HTM file and replace it with INDEX.ASPX file but when i enter my website www.mysite.com it doesnt redirect it to .ASPX
any help please

Right click on your web site in the IIS control panel.

Select "properties"

Select the "documents" tab

Add "index.aspx" to the list on that dialog.

Press OK
