301 Site Redirect Or Leave It Be?

I currently have a site with two domain names. Both domains are sharing the same hosting. (I make a change on one, the other automatically changes) Recently, I noticed that my Google rankings have dropped! I didn't think I had mirroring sites, but now I am no longer certain. Should I implement a 301 site redirect or is two domains on one server ok?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Use a 301 redirect.

From how I understand it, Google treats those two urls as different sites. Google basically ranks according to the mass of links heading to a url so if your links are split between two domains so is your ranking.
