Firefox and Opera problem with IIS 5.1

I need some help guys.

I have reformatted my drive and re-installed IIS 5.1 (and everything else) on my development PC. It's up and running but I couldn't get Firefox 1.5 and Opera 8 to work when accessing [localhost...] Firefox asks for a username and pass (IUSR_ComputerName doesn't work) and Opera says "The server requested a login authentication method that is not supported." IE works fine.

Before I reformatted, everything works well. What did I forgot to do with this IIS 5.1 install?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you are using Windows Integrated Authentication rather than Basic Authentication

Iam not sure because Iam not much of a systems guy.

I did not tweak any default IIS settings on this WinXP Pro fresh install. Since I reformatted and had to reinstall everything, the only thing odd I did was install PHP (ISAPI) and MySQL (auto using installer) first before I installed Firefox and Opera. Could that be the cause?

How do I know which authentication method Iam using and how do I revert back to basic authentication?

Thanks again.
