ASP.NET Intranet/Portal

I'm just about to begin developing my first Intranet and I was thinking about using ASP.NET. Does anyone have any experiences to share? Any advice for a first timer? Any tutorials... any information at all would be appreciated.

use Dotnet nuke if you prefer VB.net or if you rather work with c# try rainbowportal, both are based on microsofts IbuySpyPortal. i personlay use Rainbow since its in c#.
