Directory Software

Have spent 2 days look and nada!

I am planning to build a directory for one of my websites, rather like DMOZ, yahoo etc. Have been looking around for something that can do this but can't work out what on earth to search for, all my searches end up with nothing and can't believe there is nothing out there for asp and a sql database.

I could quite easily build my own and would like to, however the only thing I can't plan is how to do the url structures.

ie. I could easily write: [example.com...]
but in fact I would want
[example.com...]

In my database I was planning a structure like: fld_cat_uid, fld_cat_name, fld_cat_code, fld_cat_parent
23, Blue Widgets, blue-widgets, 8

However this fell down as I would have used the cat_code to look up the catagory, but realised I would have dupe cat codes in the database due to maybe

[example.com...]
[example.com...]

Anyone got a package that would do what I want or maybe a prod in the right direction
