Hi,
I was thinking of learning asp and I'm wondering if asp pages are ranking better than html pages? Do asp pages rank well in Google, yahoo and MSN?

What are the advantages with using asp?
Is it better to learn aspx?

asp uses html, its just a more powerful language.
aspx is the new version (kind of) of asp, ASP.NET, which is even more powerfull.

I would say, learn HTML (couple of days), then learn either or both ASP and ASP.NET

Thanks Gernwax!

I know some html and have some sites that are ranking well... How do I go on if I want to make a html page in to a asp or aspx page? Would I need to have any script on my server?

letsgo,
Welcome to WebmasterWorld! The first thing to check is to see if your host can support asp, aspx pages. They most likely do if the server is a m$ windows server. If not they might have chili soft which can run asp.

Once you find out if you can run asp, then start learning! Soon you will be able to create sites that are dynamically driven from either a database or xml! :)

For learning asp, there is a great online tutorial located here: [w3schools.com...]
