Why can't I open any links?

Links won't open from any documents

Since downloading an update from Windows I can't open any links and it's driving me mad! anyone got any ideas? I'll warn you now, I don't know all the technical terms for things so you'll have to treat me like a computer idiot! cheers, Helen

Are you saying that you can't open links that appear on other sites in your browser?

If so, I had a similar problem last week and I had to run the repair function for IE to eventually get it to work.

Give us a bit more info on the problem and perhaps we can help. What browser are you using? Version? Is it happening with all links (my problem was just asp links). What was the update you made?

If you want to try repairing IE, go to your Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and then highlight Microsoft Internet Explorer from the list and then click Change/Remove. You'll get an option to repair - choose that and click OK. (If you don't see IE in the list, you may have to click on one of the buttons on the left hand side which says something like 'Add/Remove Windows Components').
