Has anyone used any of the ASP components by ServerObjects, Inc? (Stephen Genusa)

I need a question answered about one of the products and can't get him to answer an email.

Specifically - I have a question on ASP Ping.

What is the specific problem? I may be able to answer on this basis?

ASP Ping works great when I'm connected to broadband connection. When I unplug the ethernet it shows not connected, when I am plugged in it shows replies.

However, when I'm on dialup connection it doesn't show connected.

Is it supposed to do that?

You can ping in ASP without a component, check out this article:

[4guysfromrolla.com...]

Try that first, that will tell you whether the problem is with the component or your system. Your dial-up ISP may have ICMP disabled, might have nothing to do with the component.
