I have 4 sites, lets call em red-widgets.co.uk, red-widgets.com, blue-widgets.com and bluewidgets.co.uk

Now, I want to use the .co.uk sites as the main sites in the engines etc so I want to redirect traffic on the other sites to them. They currently exist as seperate domains all pointing the to the relevant ip address.

So I presume I go into IIS Admin, Home Directory and Redirect to URL. Now is there a way to tell it that if the original was red-widgets.com/widget1.htm to redirect to red-widgets.co.uk/widget1.htm instead of just red-widgets.co.uk

Also will this help with the search engines that have picked up red-widgets.com instead of .co.uk?

Many thanks

you can use a server header checker to make sure the correct status is being returned and the location that the user is being redirected to. the search engines will also see it and update their links accordingly.
